CSW Venice

Vertices presents a full series of black and white photographs made by the artist on walks throughout the pandemic. Situated as a survey of Orange County’s built environment, the work depicts nameless structures including corporate buildings, street scenes, & suburban houses.

Retaining a subdued & anonymous quality, the photographs interrogate and attempt to reclaim the coldness so often associated with brutalism and the infrastructural landscape.

Cafe Bizarre

CSW Horner

Cafe Bizarre brings together 10 new paintings and one sculpture created in 2023 in the artists’ studios in Montreal and Ottawa, Canada. Berger’s imagery begins with her archive of vintage pornography magazines, which she mines for visual reference in the women she portrays in her paintings.

Rather than render the likenesses of the models in her archive, Berger uses the archive as a source of inspiration for a new cast of characters.
